Přednášející

Jiří Duspiva

Graduated from Czech Technical University Prague, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, in 1990. After graduation started in Nuclear Research Institute as young researcher in area of Severe Accident field. Since 2012 in position of HEad of Severe Accident and Thermomechanics Department and from 2018 in position of Director of Nuclear Safety and Reliability Division.

Igor Jex

(Prof., DSc.) Dean of the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering. Graduated from the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering in 1987 and started his career at the Slovak Academy of Sciences, later served at the universities of Tokyo, Helsinki, Berlin and Ulm. Since 2003, he is professor at the Czech Technical University in Prague. He is focused on quantum optics and interactions of light and matter, has authored many books and more than 150 journal articles with about 2000 citations. Dr. Jex was awarded by rector of Czech Technical University in years 2004, 2008, 2010, and 2012 for science, in years 2012 and 2013 he obtained Siemens prize for the result of fundamental research and for doctoral thesis supervision. He also wrote a popular book about the physicist Ludwig Boltzmann and Max M. Planck.

Evžen Losa

Department of Nuclear Reactors Faculty of Nuclear Sciencesand Physical Engineering.
Received Ph.D. from Czech Technical University in Prague, Department of nuclear reactors. Experience: Researcher at Department of nuclear reactors (since 2009), UJV Řež (2010-2012) and Research Centre Rez (since 2012), focus on design and modelling of integral reactor and transport experiments for advanced reactors, core physics, radiation shielding. Interests:Fuel cycle closure, advanced reactor concepts (FRs, MSRs).

Jeong-Kwan Suh

Leader of SMART SDA(standard design approval) project in Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power(KHNP). He is a principal researcher of KHNP Central Research Institute having more than 20 years of experience in nuclear industry. He has been working on APR1400 U.S.NRC design certification since 2011. Before the current position, he had broad experience in thermal hydraulic experiment and safety analysis for nuclear power plant. He has the Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. degree in nuclear engineering from Seoul National University.

Nikita Rtischev

Mr. Rtischev finished in 2014 his Ph.D. studies in Moscow power engineering institute. From 2017 he works as senior manager in technical department in Rosatom Overseas as a head and responsible executive of collaboration with chief designers in a field of Small Modular Reactors technology development. In 2016 he was awarded with ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation Award for Young Scientists.

Marek Ruščák

Mr. Ruščák has a bachelor degree in mathematics and physics and a master in nuclear engineering from the Polytechnic university of Catalonia. He has been working in the Research centre Řež since 2012 in the nuclear safety research section and currently is the head of department of Thermalhydraulics. He also functions as a head of department of Nuclear safety sanalyses under the National radiation protection institute.

Martin Pazúr

Chairman of the Board of NUVIA a.s., a company operating in the field of nuclear power, industry, radiation safety and protection, defence, healthcare and scientific research centres technology. NUVIA was established in 1995 and is a part of international Nuvia Group in frame of VINCI since 2012. Martin Pazúr has been working for NUVIA (formerly ENVINET a.s.) since 1996, where he started as a Head of Software Development Division. After eight years he became the CEO and the Chairman of the Board in 2015. Martin Pazúr is a member of the Academic Council of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic for the period 2018-2022.

Jan Vondráš

Co-founder of Invicta BOHEMICA (1998), where has been Director since 1999. This position is responsible for the analysis of the development of all major companies in the individual segments of the energy market with focus on production, economic and technical data in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia. The main products the company are issued each year, the study Analyses energy CR and SR. He has participated  on analysis, focusing on the issue of more availability and use of brown coal and the risks of substitution fuels for heating plants, which the company dealt in the years 2007 and 2008 for the EQS, and later in the years up to 2009 – 2011 for the MINISTRY and the TS of the CZECH REPUBLIC and in recent years for most of the key actors from the district heating market.

Ibrahim Khamis

Mr. Khamis has earned his M.Sc. (1986) and Ph.D. (1988) in nuclear engineering from the University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona, USA. Currently, he is the Project Manager of the Non-electric applications of nuclear energy at International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Section of Nuclear Power Technology Development. His duties involve the non-electric applications of Nuclear energy including Nuclear Seawater Desalination, Hydrogen Production, District Heating and other industrial Applications. He authored and co-authored more than 150 research publications and conference presentations. He is the Co-Editor of the International Nuclear Desalination Journal and the International Nuclear Hydrogen Journal, Member of Editor Board of Desalination and Water Treatment Journal, and reviewer of several peered review Journals. Main interest is software development and simulation; design, physics, and utilization of nuclear research reactors; and non-electric applications of nuclear power reactors.

Ramesh Sandhankar

Ramesh is the Director of R&D Operations at the Canadian Nuclear Laboratories, where he worked since 1995. His research responsibilities included tritium, heavy water, nuclear hydrogen, Gen IV Super Critical Water Cooled Reactors, nuclear economics, hybrid systems, integration of nuclear with renewables and human performance modeling and analysis. He is a co-chair of the Economics Modeling Working Group of the Generation IV International Forum, co-chair of NEA’s Ad Hoc Experts Group on Advanced Reactors in Low Carbon Energy Systems, member of Canada’s Working Group on Economics and Finance of SMRs.

Pradip Tewari

Pradip Tewari, a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, is a Distinguished Scientist from Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Trombay, India and an internationally renowned expert in the field of nuclear desalination and water technologies. He is a Fellow of the prestigious Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) and President of Indian Desalination Association. He has over 150 scientific publications to his credit. He is author of a book on Nanocomposite Membrane Technology (ISBN:9781466576827) published by CRC Press Taylor and Francis Group USA and in Editorial Board of several journals.

Xing L. Yan

Dr. Xing L. Yan received his Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1990. He participated in the US Department of Energy development program on modular high temperature gas-cooled reactor (HTGR) and was consultant to nuclear industry and research organizations in France, Japan, the Netherlands and the USA. Dr. Yan joined in JAEA in 1998 and is currently Deputy Director of Reactor Systems Design Department in the Sector of Fast Reactor and Advanced Reactor Research and Development. He is responsible for the design of HTGR plant systems and associated research and development in JAEA.

Andrey Balanin

Mr. Balanin works in National Research Centre „Kurchatov Institute“ (Moscow, Russia), in the Department of fast and high temperature reactors of the Kurchatov Complex of advanced nuclear energy. Previously he participated in works for substantiation of Fast Gascooled Reactor based on microfuel and preparation of „hot“ critical experiments on Astra critical facility. Recent time he research hydrogen energy concept with focus on H2 production using HGTR.

Petr Vácha

Petr Vácha (*1988) graduated from CTU in Prague, Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering (Bc.) and Faculty of Electrotechnics (Ing.). He has worked for UJV Rez since 2013, currently in the position of deputy head of Severe Accidents and Thermomechanics department. He is responsible for coordination of GENIV reactors research in UJV Rez.

Josef Běláč

He graduated from the Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of nuclear sciences and physical engineering, Department of theory and technology of nuclear reactors. From 1989-1997, he worked in the Czech energy plants, CEZ, a.s., later held various positions in the area of reactor physics and fuel cycle of nuclear power plants. In the period 1998 to 2006, he worked in nuclear research Institute Řež as scientific head of operations execution is the Temelín reactor physics and head of the Department. In the years 2007 to 2017, he served as Director of the business group in the company of ALTA, a.s. has been operating since the year 2012 for the position of Executive Director and now Chairman of the Board of Directors  ALVEL, a.s. During his practice he participated in the development and implementation of fuel VVANTAGE6 Westinghouse and TVSA-T company TVEL for Temelin, in the development and implementation of monitoring system of the  VVER reactor core for SCORPIO-Dukovany. In the past, was and is a member of several expert groups of the OECD-NEA (SMAP and EGATFL). He is  lecturer of the IAEA in the area of Fuel Safety and transportation of hazardous substances.
